Nordic Horror Roleplaying
Much is changing in nineteenth century Scandinavia. Many aspects of life are becoming industrialized, understanding of the world is changing and people and progress are slowly spreading farther North into once wild and lonely places. Something else is changing too, something a little more...supernatural.
Vaesen, supernatural beings of varying descriptions, have always lived alongside people. Often unseen, unless they choose to reveal themselves or to those who have The Sight, they help or harm humans depending on their nature or how they are treated. Even those who cannot always see them have knowledge passed don through generations of how to befriend, placate or avoid these creatures. But the rules seem to be changing. Vaesen are acting more aggressive, more unpredictable. Incidents where humans are being harmed are on the rise and no one knows why.
It falls to the new members of the Society, a newly reformed group dedicated to understanding Vaesen, to investigate and try help those who are being endangered by the Vaesen's unexplained behaviour.

Vaesen is a Nordic horror roleplaying game by Free League Publishing. Players take on the role of investigators in the newly reformed Society, a group dedicated to gaining understanding of the mysterious Vaesen that surround them, and hoping to learn about their more recent unpredictable changes.
