Dragonbane the Campaign Begins

Historic 1st quest of the Guild of Outskirt

On this day the premier adventurer’s of the new Outskirt Adventurer’s Guild undertook it’s inaugural quest to save the economic livelihood of the area. Fated to be a quest that would lead them into the depths of the earth and into the mysteries of the ancient past where Dragons battled Demons.

The heroic band set out, being represented by the best the Guild had. A mysterious Elf Hunter with her strange crow companion, and a giant of a Wolfkin with an intimidating demeanour bested only by his desire for the treasures of the world.  These two fearlessly proceeded to the local barrow mounds in the Iron Forest, quietly aided by a Cat People Scholar who was as knowledgeable as she was beautiful, which was to say - very.

With the scholar providing more recent details on the area, events and the quest, the group soon discovered the cause of the local populous’ worry – a burial mound that had somehow recently opened, exposing the world to the ancient evils that still lingered deep within the earth. An evil from the time of the Dragon Era.

Upon further investigation, a number of artifacts and hitherto unknown cultural items from that ancient time were discovered. The lot however, was guarded by a powerful ghostly entity, long since driven mad by it’s era spanning duty. Dangerous in the extreme, it possessed the material mummified remains of the barrows occupants and it’s fearsome supernatural abilities were only narrowly countered by expert elvish combat tactics, fearless and brutal Wolfkin courage and the scholar’s expert occult knowledge.

Once the spirit had been brilliantly separated from it’s material anchor it was soon vanquished and the remainder of the barrow lay open to recovery including an ancient scroll falling apart with age. The first quest of the new Guild was successfully completed and needless to say, the knowledge recovered will keep scholars busy for quite some time.
